I have been working on various of program across verkada’s all product line from first in-house design fish-eye camera, first generation of alarm sensors, first B to B 16 doors access control and first alarm touch pad system.
Under The Cover
Industrial design encompasses not only the exterior aesthetics but also the internal components. With careful consideration of various constraints, our team has effectively streamlined the interior of the product, removing unnecessary visual elements. We have distilled it down to the essential features that are crucial for installers, such as incorporating horizontal indications, concealing reset mechanisms, strategically locating pogo pins, and highlighting the critical cable gland nut in blue to ensure proper water seal installation. By focusing on these details, we have optimized the functionality and usability of the product, delivering a seamless experience for the installers.
Subtle Details
By incorporating camera spec indications and adding baffling details around the lens, we achieve two objectives. Firstly, these design elements provide critical information about the camera's capabilities, empowering users to make informed decisions. Secondly, the baffling details enhance the camera's appearance while minimizing unwanted glare or reflections, ensuring high-quality footage. This attention to detail showcases our commitment to both aesthetics and functionality, creating a visually appealing and professional piece of hardware.
